Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: October 2026

Short version: some links on The Deployment Guy are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may get a small commission. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, and it helps keep the site running.

What that actually means

Affiliate links usually look like thedeploymentguy.co.uk/go/something. They take you to the product’s own website, and the company pays me a cut if you sign up or buy within a set time.

I currently work with affiliate programmes including Udemy and LastPass, through the impact.com network. I may also use Amazon Associates links for books. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

How I decide what to recommend

  • I only recommend tools and courses I’ve actually used, or would genuinely point a colleague towards.
  • Commission never decides what I write. If something’s rubbish, I’ll say so, affiliate or not.
  • Most of my content has no affiliate links at all. The guides are here because the problems are real, not because there’s a product to sell.

How you’ll know

Any post with affiliate links has a short note near the top saying so. Product cards or banners in the sidebar are labelled as affiliate or sponsored.

Sponsored content

If a company ever pays me to write about their product, the post will be clearly labelled as sponsored at the top. That’s separate from affiliate links. See Sponsor the Site for more.
